7. CADA Partner with LIFE & Discovery, Inc. from Frederick County, Maryland

LIFE & Discovery is an Asian American-led health organization from Frederick County. Since October, 2008, CADA has been working closely with LIFE & Discovery to develop various joint healthcare projects aimed at promoting healthcare in Asian American communities in Frederick County. In December, 2008, CADA has been contracted by LIFE & Discovery to design a culturally sensitive anti-tobacco education program and a Meet the Doc program for Asian Anti-Tobacco Initiatives in Frederick County. In January, 2009, LIFE & Discovery and CADA have drafted a joint regional Maryland Asian Cancer Prevention Initiatives grant application to Maryland Cancer Funds to promote the cancer preventions in Asian Americans in Maryland.
